Protect Bristol Bay

Northern Dynasty Mines proposes to build North America's largest open-pit gold and copper mine at the headwaters of two of the most valued river drainages in Alaska.

At the core of Pebble Mine complex, covering some 15 square miles, would be an open pit measuring approximately two miles long, a mile and half wide and 1,700 feet deep. Over its lifetime, it will produce 2.5 billion tons of waste.

The reality is the largest open-pit gold copper mine in North America undoubtedly threatens to devastate the largest salmon fishery in the world. Even minute quantities of toxins are deadly to juvenile salmon and trout.

1. Prevent Bristol Bay from becoming an open pit mining district

2. Effects of this project are irreversible for generations to come
