YNPN promotes an efficient, viable, and inclusive nonprofit sector that supports the growth, learning, and development of young professionals.
In these difficult times for our nation, the work of nonprofit organizations is increasingly important to fill gaps not addressed by government agencies and to help those losing homes and jobs. The most important resource nonprofits have to tackle these daunting problems is the talent and skills of their staff. Yet, too often, nonprofits lack the time and money to mentor and develop staff and ensure that the best talent remains in the nonprofit sector. I'm writing today to ask for your partnership in meeting this need by supporting the Young Nonprofit Professionals Network (YNPN) and helping us match a recently received $2,500 challenge grant.
YNPN is a grassroots solution to the problems that already stretched nonprofits face in training and supporting their most valuable asset, future leaders. YNPN is run by and for, young professionals in the sector. In just over a decade, YNPN has grown from a small group of peers in San Francisco to more than 20 volunteer-led chapters nationally, providing professional development, career workshops, and networking to more than 15,000 members. YNPN National is raising money to support the further growth of this network, ensuring that young people in the sector have the resources that they need to increase their impact, and stay in the sector for the long-term. We particularly need your help in matching a generous $2,500 challenge grant that we recently received. We have raised $500 to date, so please consider giving today to help us meet our goal.
