The mission of Children of Uganda is to support and empower hundreds of orphans and vulnerable children in Uganda to lead successful and productive lives.
There is an orphan crisis in Uganda. Currently the country is home to an estimated 3.5 million children under the age of 15 who have lost one or both parents - many of them, lost to HIV/AIDS. Children of Uganda (formerly, Ugandan Children's Charity Foundation) was established in 1995 as a 501 (c)K non-profit organization to care for orphans and other disadvantaged children in Uganda with the goal of helping them become healthy and productive members of society.
The mission of Children of Uganda is to support and empower hundreds of orphans and vulnerable children in Uganda to lead successful and productive lives. Our vision is that all children in Uganda receive an education to become healthy, productive members of their community who assume leadership roles and positively impact Ugandan society.
The organization supports hundreds of children in Uganda, and has projects in sustainability, health, and empowerment. Children of Uganda also produces an award-winning dance troupe featuring children enrolled in its programs who tour internationally to raise funds and increase awareness of AIDS and its impact on children.
Children of Uganda needs your help to continue on their mission to help as many children get a quality education as possible. The children the organization supports would not be able to have an education otherwise. Please help if you can! Every little bit counts.
1. All children deserve the right to an education, housing and love.
2. To empower Ugandan children with education that will enable them to have a brighter future.
