About

To convince the State Legislators and School Board members to transition district change in a non-destructive manner.

The Minneapolis School Board is pushing for a sweeping and drastic change to the entire Minneapolis School District. There is no regard for children of any race or economic background whether they and their siblings can stay at the school where they began their education. This is a horrible precedent to set. Any plan that the public ultimately approves MUST include the option to grandfather in children and their siblings to attend their current school. Parents need to retain this choice. Do not use children as guinea pigs in a drastic experiment. Children of all races and economic backgrounds need equal opportunities to education, but this does not necessarily mean uprooting anyone from one school to place them in another. Let the change be a gentle transition for all children.
We will keep track of which legislators and board members support a gentle transition. We should also note which television news stations are most respectful of our childrens' best interests.

You are only powerless if you do nothing.
Do not let anyone tell you that this is a done deal.

1. Permit existing students and siblings to remain in their current school if parents so choose!
