Back to The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society - 2009 Man & Woman of the Year Campaign for Hank Minitrez

Leukemia Fight Continues!

Hello friends and family,

Again, I'd like to thank you for your continued support for our campaign to raise money for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.

We had so many turn out to donate baked goods for the annual TigerDen championship and for that we're very grateful! It was an honor for me to introduce 6-year-old Megan Avery to you all - she's such a trooper and a testament to why we need to continue moving forward with this campaign!

I've attached some flyers for upcoming events we're holding that you all are invited to. Two of them are very easy ways to donate money - all you have to do is eat! That's right, both Glory Days Grill and Chili's of Northern Virginia have joined TigerDen and me for this cause.

Print out the Chili's flyer, take it in and present it to your server and a portion of the cost of your meal is automatically donated!

If you eat at Glory Days, simply follow the directions on the flyer and again, a portion of the proceeds from your meal gets donated! That's too easy!

As we continue to forge ahead with the fundraising effort for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, we take part in likely the largest event yet - Rolling Thunder! That's this Saturday, 23 May.

We're setting up at the East Coast Harley Davidson shop in Dumfries, just off Route 1 (Main St. in Dumfries) to try and raise as much as we can. The address is 17975 Main Street, Dumfries VA 222026.

Each year, there's an estimated 3000 people who come through that dealership for a day of food, music and fun on their way to DC for the main event.

We'd appreciate any and all donations of baked goods! I fact, if anyone would like to volunteer their time to help man our donation booth, we'd be indebted to you!

If you'd like to donate food or any other item to sell, you can drop if off at TigerDen Friday night or early Saturday morning. We'll caravan down around 8:30 am.

Thank you all again for your generosity and unparalleled support!

We've also scheduled a community yard sale in Fredericksburg, VA for the morning of May 30th - if you have ANYTHING you want to donate to have sold, just let me know. I'll even find a way to come haul it away if that makes it easier for you!

We're also doing a jewelry party (think Tupperware Party only with jewelry) on Sunday May 31st - details are in the attached flyer.

Once again, thank you all for your kindness and generosity - we truly appreciate it! Our fundraiser ends June 12th so we hope to collect as much money as we can by then, and there's still time for anyone to get involved! If you'd like to setup an event, have any ideas - anything at all, feel free to let me know!

Take care, and have a wonderful day and weekend ahead.
