Defend motorcycles against a smog check requirement.

Send an email to prevent this unnecessary burden to motorcyclists from becoming a reality. See info and email example below.

Compose your own or copy and paste this into an email to both senators.

I oppose SB 435 for the following reasons:

1) The only two counties to ever smog test motorcycles nationwide, Pima and Maricopa in Arizona, have already shown that motorcycle testing leads to no significant reduction in measured emissions levels. Pima County has already dropped their testing program and Maricopa is awaiting EPA’s approval to do the same.

2) It's irresponsible to introduce anything that will cost the taxpayers money when it has proven to be ineffective.

3) Motorcyclists already consume far fewer resources, reduce traffic congestion and cause minimal wear on our roadways. Every motorcycle on the road is one less car, we should encourage their use instead of causing unnecessary additional cost.
