Kia ora, Welcome, Hola and Happy New Years from Sustainable Coastlines.

Our social networking gurus have advised us to start a charity page, so click on the link below and become a fan.!/pages/Sustainable-Coastlines/243873437065

It will make it much easier to follow the progress of Sustainable Coastlines, find out about our events and contribute with photos, stories and anything else that makes you passionate about the world's coastlines.

We have our next event coming up- The (now annual) Aotea/Great Barrier Island Coastal Cleanup Event, happening on March 6th and 7th of this year. If you are in Aotearoa/New Zealand come along! if not, follow our progress as we look to exceed our results from last year (2.8 tonnes) and then compare them to our rubbish audit from 2009. This will give us a valuable insight into what rubbish turns up on a particularly important coastline from the storm drains of a big city.

And remember, it is easy to approach us if you have an idea for an event, an action or just want to share a story with us.
