The mission of HOPE Animal-Assisted Crisis Response is to provide comfort and encouragement through animal-assisted support to individuals affected by crises and disasters.

Hope Animal-Assisted Crisis Response is an all volunteer organization. Your donation will support the organization's mission of bringing comfort to those affected by crises and disasters. Donations help in many ways, such as providing on-going support, training and certifying new crisis teams, developing training programs and materials and helping to defray costs associated with traveling when teams deploy to crises.

November 2008 - California wildfires
October 2007 - California wildfires
May 2007 - Georgia wildfires
April 2007 - Virginia Tech tragedy
December 2005 & May 2006 - post Hurricane Katrina, Louisiana
September 2001 - 9-11 tragedy, NY

1. Animal-assisted crisis response involves dog/handler teams that have been screened and trained to provide comfort in intense emotional situations.

2. Hope has certified crisis response teams in five regions covering 30 states.

3. Animal-Assisted Crisis Response is based on scientifically proven benefits of the human-animal bond.

4. HOPE AACR is an all-volunteer, national non-profit 501(c)(3) organization.
