The Portland State Queer Resource Center is putting out the word about a newly-formed social group for all LGBTQIA2 identified people of color and all straight allies of color!
The purposes of the group are:
** to provide a safe space for queer people of color to come together formally and informally for a variety of events throughout the year.
** to empower queer people of color to increase their visibility on campus and in the Portland community.
** to encourage social and professional ties between student groups on campus as well as other community organizations in Portland.
** to promote networking and social support amongst queer and straight students of color.
The PSU QPOC group is in the process of planning events for spring term. Some of these events will be closed events (open only to self-identified people of color), while others will be open to all.
