Empty At Last: Ontario Finally Closes Its Last Institution

As of tonight there are no longer any residents in the Rideau Regional Centre located in Ontario, Canada. No one will be sleeping there tonight! The last remaining "resident" is currently in the hospital in Kingston and will be discharged this
weekend to the Rotary Home in Ottawa. Now if only other Canadian provinces such as Manitoba would follow Ontario's example. All persons with disabilities, regardless of type or
severity, can live in the community when they receive the necessary supports and services. Community Living Works!
