Back to Justice for the Innocent in Prison

Federal Government Gives Nod to MIP

The U.S. Department of Justice last week awarded the Midwestern Innocence Project a $288,000 grant to help us fund investigations of wrongful convictions over the next two years.

We'll use the money to add two new paralegals to our staff. These two new positions will take much of the paper chasing burden off our already over-laden attorneys so we can move cases forward more quickly.

Also, mark your calendar for a full day of events in Kansas City designed to highlight wrongful convictions: October 27, 2009.

Check the website for more information in the following day or so.
