SIX UNWEANED KITTENS SAVED FROM SHELTER AS THEY WERE GOING TO BE KILLED

S2

Valley Cats have just saved 6 unweaned kittens from being killed at the shelter last evening. This is just the beginning of kitten season, they have already taken in kittens (picture posted here) before this and inevitably will be taking in more in time. They continually need support to do the work they do saving cats lives, even some dogs. Would you please consider contributing to Valley Cats to help with these babies and the other older kittens in their care?

March 31, 2014 - Monday

Debrah Regal who is the founder of Valley Cats Inc.and co-founder of Petopia Animal Rescue along with her co-founder of Petopia, Yvette Berke and Jennifer who is a bottle baby foster/volunteer rescued six bottle babies from the shelter in the nick of time tonight at the shelter.

I will be adding pictures of the new unwearned kittens as I receive them.

Yvette wrote this tonight:

So proud of my rescue family. We received word that six bottle babies were available at West LA Shelter. Calls had been made to and not returned from Best Friends and their time was up. They were due to get the needle and BF was a no show and no call and Jennifer, Debbie Regal and I hauled butt in rush hour traffic and took them in. We don't have millions in overseas bank accounts, we don't have a $1 shelter from the city, we pay pull fees for our New Hopes cause we don't have a backroom sweetheart deal with the city. What we are is the heart and soul of rescue. We are a small organization with compassion. Valley Cats Inc. like many private rescues do whatever they can be it TNR or bottle feeding or into the wee hours rescues. True Rescuer ROCK!
