Founded upon the ideals of true teamwork and collaborative advance among undergraduates in 2001 at The Johns Hopkins University and Utah State University, The O Campaign Foundation was named in 2007 as a drive to bring people together in the spirit of well-being. Among various causes at the time, our breast cancer awareness campaign grew the fastest and eventually encompassed all of our cancer awareness and prevention efforts. Shortly thereafter, all our efforts to encourage and support well-being were encompassed within The O Campaign Foundation.

True to its ideals, The O Campaign Foundation quickly became larger than any one individual's efforts and began representing humanity's broader efforts to encourage and support well-being. By the end of 2009, The O Campaign Foundation had surpassed 4.8 million members and officially became the full circle campaign to encourage and support well-being, and focuses its efforts in arts, learning, sports, health, and community leadership.
