Dementia is a growing illness that is constantly taking the lives of innocent civilians: together we can bring it to a halt.
Dementia is a serious illness that affects the brain. It is more often found in geriatric patients, but can affect anyone of any age. Types of Dementia are Alzheimer's, vascular, and Lewy's Dementia.This disease affects areas of cognition such as memory, attention, language, and problem solving. At this time, there is no cure for Dementia; it is treated with many different kinds of drugs. There are many risks of Dementia. Someone who suffers from this illness may become violent, or very confused at how do preform simple tasks. Everyone should know the facts and risks of Dementia, and we should all work together to end it.
The International Society for Stem Cell Research (ISSCR) is an independent, nonprofit organization formed in 2002 to foster the exchange of information on stem cell research.

-Dementia is one of the world's fastest growing diseases.
-Worldwide, there are now an estimated 24 million people living with some form of Dementia. If there is not a major medical breakthrough, the number could increase to 84 million by 2040.
-Scientists strive to help find ways to cure Dementia, but this cannot happen without funds donated to these research centers.
-All forms of Dementia are NOT terminal. Help extend the lives of innocent people suffering with forms of this disease by supporting stem cell research.
How can you HELP?
1)Join the cause. Once you've become a member, invite friends. A member is allowed to invite 60 people a day. Invite until you run out of friends!
2)Feature the cause on your facebook profile- this helps spread the word!
3)Donate money! The minimum donation per person is $10. All the money raised goes to the International Society for Stem Cell Research, to help doctors advance in finding a cure for Dementia.
4)Read the discussion board and wall to find out important information. Also, post ideas and suggestions to help better the cause.
