To follow the Prophet

"We have a living prophet on the face of the earth again, even President Thomas S. Monson. He knows our challenges and fears. He has inspired answers. There is no need to fear. We can have peace in our hearts and peace in our homes." (Dieter F. Uchtdorf, “Heeding the Voice of the Prophets,” Liahona, Jul 2008, 2–5)

“You may not like what comes from the authority of the Church. It may conflict with your political views. It may contradict your social views. It may interfere with some of your social life … Your safety and ours depends upon whether or not we follow … Let’s keep our eye on the President of the Church.” (President Harold B. Lee, Conference Report, October 1970, p. 152–153.)

How we respond to the words of a living prophet when he tells us what we need to know, but would rather not hear, is a test of our faithfulness.

1. A living Prophet is on the earth today.

2. During turbulant times we can receive inspired instruction and guidance from a living Prophet of God.

3. Let us be more faithful in sustaining and following our beloved Prophet
