To spread awareness of the WHO Safe Surgery Saves Lives among Medical and Allied Professionals dealing with patients undergoing Surgery.

Dear Colleague

My name is Mohan Reddy and I am a surgeon in the UK. I request you to pass this cause on to ALL the medical and allied professionals that you know, so that there will be widespread awareness and hopefully, adoption of this valuable and free process. I have personally seen the devastation that can happen to patients and Surgeons/Anaesthetists as a result of simple mistakes that snowball out of control. I believe that this process can make surgery safer and there is good evidence to support this.

The WHO has started this initiative to make surgery safer throughout the world with this initiative. It is validated by a trial published in the NEJM.

Although the process seems fairly familiar to practitioners in developed countries, I believe that formal adoption of this process will enhance safety, both in the west as well as in less developed areas.

The links that I have included gives you all the information and tools needed to implement this initiative and evangelize it.

Thank you in advance for spreading the message. Please feel free to add me as a friend in facebook if you want.

PS: The best way of finding all your medical colleagues is usually through your personal and work email contact list! If you are going to email your contacts, please copy me [email protected] the mail
