Millcreek Children's Center is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that serves low-income working families so that their children can succeed in kindergarten. Statistics show that children enrolled in a high quality early learning program, particularily low-income children, are more likely to stay in school, attend college, earn more money and be employed in high-skilled jobs.
We recently received a State Award for Excellence in Early Child Care and Education! In recognition of its excellent child care program and its committment to children, Millcreek Children's Center has received a two-Star Step Up To Quality Award from the Ohio Department of Job & Family Services. We are only the fourth preschool in Mahoning County to receive this award! Step Up To Quality is a voluntary rating system for early care and education programs where you can receive ratings by meeting an extensive list of quality benchmarks.
The classes at Millcreek Children's Center are small with degreed, licensed teachers who know how to unlock the
potential in children. We provide a wide range of programs for our disadvantaged children: speech therapy, developmental tutoring, computer instruction, vision, hearing, and foot screenings, dental care, and referrals for needed services.
