To serve as a reminder to the public and those who serve in EMS, that while the work is dangerous and at times heart breaking, it is done, everyday and to remember our fallen colleagues.
Everyday, thousands of EMT's and Paramedics provide emergency care to the acutely sick and injured throughout the world and often receive no recognition and when one of our brothers and sister's is killed in the line of duty, almost no one notices. The public must know of our sacrifices and more importantly must know that police officers and firefighters are not the only ones who give their lives to save others. We are all in this together, please join me in remembering our fallen colleagues in EMS both in the U.S. and abroad.
2. 17 EMT's were killed at the WTC site, and were forgotten....never again
