We are here to rescue, rehabilitate, and find loving homes for the forgotten pets in Southwest Michigan pounds. We save adoptable pets and make families complete.

Founded in early 2002, the SPCA of Southwest Michigan is a not-for-profit animal welfare community that is bringing leadership and results to the problem of pet homelessness in Southwest Michigan. Our volunteer base numbers more than 150 people. We are diverse in our skills and backgrounds—we are men and women, business owners, stay-at-home moms, and professionals.

Rescue and adoption of homeless animals ~ Focus on adoptable pets in Southwest Michigan pounds scheduled for euthanasia.

Rescued animals receive medical treatment like vaccinations, treatment for parasites and spay/neuter procedure. Treatment may also include complex surgeries, heartworm treatment and more.

We find loving "forever homes" for these deserving pets.

1. Put in place a safety net for the thousands of unwanted and unloved companion animals that perish each year in our communities

2. Meet the growing demand in our communities for pets as family members

3. Promote reponsible pet ownership

4. Reduce pet overpopulation
