More than 20,000 dolphins and porpoises are being slaughtered each year and their meat is being sold as food in Japan, often labeled as whale meat. Courageous documentary filmmakers infiltrated a remote village in Japan to shed light on this horrible practice. The movie they made, The Cove, is in theaters now and we need your help to spread the word.
As someone who cares about animals and animal rights, there is a lot you can do to help stop the dolphin slaughter. First, please sign this petition:
Then, please send it to your friends. If we spread awareness about the thousands of dolphins being killed every year and the health risk of eating dolphin meat, which contains toxic levels of mercury, we know that together we can put a stop to this. Every so often, a documentary comes along that can really make a difference. If enough of us seize this opportunity, we can put a stop to this. Let's make it happen.
Thank you for taking action!
