ACTION ALERT: Federal Hate Crimes Bill Moves To The Floor TODAY!

Congress Needs to Hear from You NOW!

Your calls and emails are working! Last week the Local Law Enforcement Hate Crime Prevention Act (H.R. 1913) passed through the U.S. House Judiciary Committee 20-15. Florida Reps. Debbie Wasserman Schultz (Fl - 20) and Robert Wexler (Fl - 19) both fought passionately for the bill in committee, but freshman Florida Rep. Thomas Rooney (Fl - 16) led a failed effort to gut the bill.

TODAY, the bill heads to the floor of the House of Representatives.

Our opponents are flooding congress with thousands of negative calls and emails. Don't let them be the only voices heard! Take action today and make sure that the LGBT community is protected and has the resources to seek justice when victimized by hate crimes.

Your Representative will vote on this critical legislation this TODAY.

If passed, the Act would create the first federal protections for LGBT Americans by adding sexual orientation, gender, gender identity, and disability to existing federal hate crimes law. This same bill has been before Congress many times before but this year we have an excellent, real chance of seeing it become law. Tomorrow is the first major hurdle. Please Call Now.
