Digital Storytelling Workshops at CMAP

Digital Storytelling Now Offered At CMAP

CMAP will be offering a 3-day Digital Storytelling workshop to collect the stories of local residents, the community and families through a multimedia story that includes photographs, scripted narration, graphics, music, and titles.

Holiday Gifts: At the end of the workshop, participants create a DVD of their story that can be duplicated as one-of-a-kind and memorable gifts for the holidays.

Memorials, births, passages, the first year of a baby or the brief history of a lifetime, special events, or oral histories are some of the topics explored during these workshops. Attendees can choose to provide CMAP with the DVD to air on Channel 20 over the holiday season.

Cost: The workshop is just $15 for CMAP members and $20 for residents of Gilroy, Hollister, and San Juan Bautista. Morgan Hill residents can register for $25/student. Attendees can bring old photographs, graphics to the first day of the workshop, or come to brainstorm possible story ideas.

Workshop participants must come to all three dates: Wednesday, December 3rd (Orientation: 6-8pm) Friday December 5th (6-8pm) through Saturday, December 6th (1-5pm)

Note: You can still jump into this week's class, or get on our mailing list for the next class.
