Help send Rae and Ariel to Iran on the FOR interfaith peace delegation in late November!
In partnership with the Fellowship of Reconciliation, the Iranian Department of Inter-religious Dialogue and Shomer Shalom Institute for Jewish Non-violence, twenty faith-based individuals will travel to Iran and share ten days of dialogue with the religious communities of Qom, Teheran, Shiraz and Esfahan. In a time of tension, faith-based people on both sides believe they can make a contribution to understanding that is dedicated to lessening tension between the governments of the United States and Iran. When we return, we’ll take our peace outreach into Jewish, Muslim and Christian faith-based communities.
At grassroots and policy levels, the Fellowship of Reconciliation supports a range of related activities: on-the-ground and political accompaniment in rural Colombian conflict zones, training civilian diplomats, and guiding delegations in pursuit of peaceful relations between the US and Iran. FOR has over 31,000 members and supporters distributed across 37 states in the US. Check it out at www.for.org
