Back to End Sweatshops!

Help ILRF End Sweatshops in the Cut Flower Industry!

Back by popular demand, it's the International Labor Rights Forum's second annual Mother's Day Raffle!

Don’t miss out on a great opportunity to win a dozen roses produced on farms with strong labor standards for a loved one, while also helping to improve working conditions for female workers in the Latin American cut flower industry this Mother’s Day!

For just $10, ILRF will not only enter your name for a chance to win ethical flowers for your mom, but ILRF will also send a Mother's Day card to your mom to let her know that you made a donation in her honor! Check out the raffle at:

THREE winners of Veriflora bouquets will be chosen at random from the raffle. Deadline for entry is Tuesday, May 5th, 2009 at 5pm EST.

Info about the raffle: Currently, hundreds of thousands of female workers in Colombia, Ecuador and Kenya, many of whom are mothers, are working to grow, harvest, and package the roses and carnations sold in the United States. These working women face serious labor rights violations such as salaries below minimum wage, arbitrary pregnancy dismissal, sexual harassment, lack of protection against hazardous pesticide and intimidation for joining unions to improve their conditions. Proceeds of the raffle will benefit ILRF's Fairness in Flowers Campaign, which works to address these problems and promote better and safer conditions for workers in the cut flower industry.
