About

BVO, or Brominated vegetable oil is in most sports drinks and citrus-flavored sodas in the US. Bromine is a chemical used as a flame retardent, and should not be in beverages we are drinking. BVO is linked to major organ system damage, birth defects, growth problems, schizophrenia, and hearing loss. It's time we join India, the EU, Japan, and the other 100+ countries that disallow the use of BVO in beverages.
