Abolish The Felony Murder Rule In The U.S.

My son Freddie D Rhodes 18, of Elkhart Ind, Deante Dalton 16 yrs of age of Elkhart Ind was both charge and convicted with Indiana Felony Murder. It is unclear why these 3 young men enter into a home on Falcon street, DreTarrious Rodgers. Freddie Rhodes & Deante Dalton, According to Elkhart Police it was a botch robbery of a Drug dealer that went bad, others in the community states it was to confront the local drug dealer of about a robbery of a mutuel friend. After danger appeared to be a direct threat, Freddie and DreTarrious Rodgers were both vacating from the basement of the home locate on falcon street, Occupant of the home testify that he tried to catch freddie was unable to catch him, he than grabbed DreTarrious against the wall where he Dretarrious began to tussel over the gun and he was shot 4 times and he doesn't remember who shot and killed DreTarrious Rodgers, Freddie Rhodes, Deante Dalton both had exit the home. Indiana Felony Murder states that one must kill another human while in the commision of a felony can be charge with felony Murder. 16 yrs, Deante Dalton didnt kill anyone and 18,Freddie Rhodes didnt kill anyone, The Elkhart County prosecution is trying to Expand the law this is unjust Cruel and unusual punishment by the Judge & Prosecutor, Help us fight for the freedom of our sons, If you didnt committ the crime you shouldnt do the time. #Free Freddie Rhodes & Deante Dalton. Freddie Rhodes was taken to the hospital 12 hours later from Elkhart County detectives unit after trying to book him & the county jail wouldn't book him because he was so badly beaten, we Freddie arrive at the hospital test results showed he had lost a lot of blood. This is not justice.

Please research other stories and learn how unjust this law is.

In Louisiana second degree murder will get you life without parole. First degree is LWOP or the death penalty. The Felony Murder Rule puts people, who had no intention of harming anyone,in prison until they die. The night my boyfriend's much older uncle brutally killed someone during a robbery, not only did my boyfriend try to stop him he actually saved the life of a hitchhiker later that same night when his uncle was going to also murder her. He did not deserve life without parole.

this campaign matters to me because there are kids who made a mistake by breaking into a house in Elkhart, IN and are sentenced to life in prison because the home owner fired his gun and it resulted in the death of one of the teens.. I am not placing judgement on the home owner.. i just want justice for the teens and 55 years is not justice for the crime they commited and it will not benefit any of the teens to serve 55 years in prison neither.. they will come out of this instutionalized with a bigger criminal mindset than they had when they committed the crime in the first place.
