Did you know?  The FDA bans gay/bisexual men from donating blood. Join the project so we can end this outdated policy together! was launched on March 1, 2013 after Blake Lynch was turned away from donating blood for his friend Emmy Derisbrun who has sickle cell anemia. Blake was turned away because of the 1983 FDA policy that bans gay men from donating blood. The goal of Banned4Life is to end this policy by raising awareness and encouraging eligible donors to donate blood in place of those who are Banned4Life.

"Our blood can save lives. Our hearts can change the world."
