Prohibiting the commercial killing of lions in terms of the Animals Protection Act will end the canned hunting industry in South Africa. The practice is already forbidden in Botswana, and will need to be forbidden in all states world wide. It must be done.

It should end all cruelty to animals, and this case - caging a wild animal for its entire life, releasing it only to be shot minutes later by a pseudo-hunter that knows nothing about fair chase, in the ultimate betrayal of trust - is the worst cruelty imaginable. The NSPCA has a duty to end it.

The NSPCA must stop this cruelty to animals. Tell them to do so right away.
