often, a shelter is an animal's last chance for survival.
Whether they've been abused or abandoned, these poor creatures need a place to stay indefinitely.
California Governor Jerry Brown is attempting to limit an animal's stay at a shelter to just 72 hours, after which the state would no longer cover costs for their care.
The initiative also states there would be no holding period for small pets like turtles or guinea pigs, which may be euthanized immediately.
Tell Governor Brown to find another way to save money in California. Innocent animals should not have to pay our debts with their lives.
