Raise Funds To Support Relief Efforts In Tacloban City.

Hey everyone! For those that don’t know, I am going to the Philippines to volunteer at a health clinic in Tacloban City in a few weeks to help with disaster relief campaigns. Current disaster relief campaigns are aimed at clearing debris, constructing temporary homes and infrastructure, distribution of relief goods (food, water, medicine etc) and medical assistance of survivors. This is where they need YOUR help! Any contributions at all would be very much appreciated. Even a small donation can go a long way so please be generous at this time of need! If you would like to donate less than $10 (which is perfectly fine) send me a message and I will send you my bank account details. I don’t have much to offer those who donate but I will write a song for those who donate $25 or more! Or if you don’t want a song that’s fine too, just let me know (no offence taken! haha). Thank you so much. As you all have probably heard, Typhoon Haiyan was the biggest storm to ever make landfall. It has left 5760 dead and more bodies are being uncovered. 70-80% of Leyte Province was destroyed and Tacloban City (the capital of Leyte) was affected the most. There is still no electricity or running water and the survivors are living on very basic food and shelter. Tacloban City has been declared to be in a state of calamity (condition involving mass casualty and/or major damages to property, disruption of means of livelihoods, roads and normal way of life of people in the affected areas as a result of the occurrence of natural or human-induced hazard). The affected areas are still struggling to restore their communities. Here are some recent photos: Thank you for your help. Yi

Raise Funds To Support Relief Efforts In Tacloban City.

I had the opportunity to visit Tacloban two years ago and was touched by the kindness and hospitality of the people there. With 3 million displaced and an estimated 13 million affected by the typhoon, both assistance with immediate relief aid and long term rebuilding are badly needed. Based out of Tacloban, the community hardest hit by the typhoon, the GoAbroad Foundation is helping in every way possible: using its office space as a shelter for those in need and distributing aid, and, through its partnership with Volunteer for the Visayans (VFV) Inc, a local grass roots NGO also located in Tacloban City, it will be a vital part of the rebuilding efforts that will be ongoing for months and even years. Please help me to raise fund for those who are in dire need now and to help rebuild this wonderful community.

Raise Funds To Support Relief Efforts In Tacloban City.

Volunteering Solutions has been sending volunteers to Tacloban city in the Philippines since 2008. The recent Typhoon Haiyan has severely caused destruction to property and lives of thousands of people. While the volunteer program is not running until further notice, we would like to do our best to raise funds and donate for this cause. We encourage our past, present & future volunteers to donate as much as they can. The money will be going to Go Abroad Foundation, which is working very closely to support the relief efforts in Tacloban city.
