Our mission is to improve the lives of seniors through caring service. The Center provides opportunities for social interaction, recreation, basic support and needs services, education, volunteerism and community activism.
For more than 50 years the Pasadena Senior Center has been a 501(c)(3) nonprofit agency that relies upon private support to meet its mission. The City of Pasadena generously provides our building and utilities. Individual, corporate, business and foundation support go directly towards programs and services for seniors.
In 2011 we served 10,000 seniors. As many as 2,289 seniors became members and 366 of them joined our Fitness Center. Our Social Services Programs reached 3,000 seniors with the help of 120 volunteers providing over 17,000 volunteer hours.
