ACCO provides information and support for children and adolescents with cancer and their families, provides grassroots leadership through advocacy and awareness, and supports research

Formed in 1970 by a group of parents, the American Childhood Cancer Organization is the largest grassroots childhood cancer non-profit in the United States. We are also the largest publisher of free books for children, families, and educators dealing with childhood cancer.


2. Approximately 12,400 children are diagnosed with cancer each year.

3. Cancer is the most common disease-related cause of death for ages one to twenty.

4. The childhood cancer cause is vastly under-publicized and under-funded.
