Research Institute Without Walls (RIWW) brings together LGBT mental health and human rights.
RIWW facilitates international and collaborative research and training on LGBT and other sexual minorities’ mental health. RIWW’s community-based research brings together clinicians, researchers, activists, attorneys, and providers who are interested in documenting the human rights, mental health needs, and resilience of LGBT persons around the world.

RIWW has two main areas of research and training:

(1) the impact of human rights violations on sexual minorities' mental health and HIV prevention

(2) the mental health challenges and needs of LGBT asylum seekers and refugees.

Please contact us at [email protected] to join the conversation with your colleagues in other countries on the effects of human rights violations, anti-gay violence, and discrimination on sexual minority mental health and HIV related behavior, and the mental health needs of LGBT asylum seekers and refugees.
