The rare and beautiful Amazon Pink Dolphins live in the South America in the Amazon River Basin. They are extremely intelligent with their brain capacity actually being 40% larger than a human.
The International Union of Conservation has increased the Pink Dolphins' endangered species status to "endangered species-threatened" which means they are very likely to go extinct during the next five years.
The Pink Dolphins quite frequently save humans lives. When humans fall into the Amazon River and cannot reach land, the dolphins push humans to shore.
Please sign this petition asking the Governments of Columbia, Peru, and Brazil to outlaw the Gill nets, which are killing the intelligent and kind Pink Dolphins. As Dolphins frequently save people whom they never met, it is incumbent on us to save them.
