Seva (Say-va) is a Sanskrit word meaning selfless service. Through the support of donors like you, Seva brings sustainable health programs to marginalized communities around the world. The organization focuses on the prevention of blindness and diabetes, and in bringing services to indigenous populations, women living in poverty, and other at-risk groups.

We call it compassion in action!

Seva's work is made possible by the generosity of donors, foundations, volunteers and friends — all joined together in the spirit of service.

Our organization was founded by Drs. Larry and Girija Brilliant, Ram Dass, Wavy Gravy and many other compassionate leaders. Seva was formed with a mission to alleviate suffering and build healthy communities.

Musicians such as the Grateful Dead, Bonnie Raitt, Jackson Browne, David Crosby, Graham Nash, and many many more are big supporters of Seva. Bob Weir (Grateful Dead) serves on Seva's advisory board.
