You might already know this about me but, I'm an adventurer : )  I love to travel, be outside, stretch my limits, and challenge myself in spectacular and unfamiliar environments.  It has been truly one of the most defining parts of who I am for as long as I can remember.

How did such a mama's girl get this way?  First, I think I come from adventurous stock: Argentinian rail road pioneers, war veterans, world travelers, and the like.  But more directly, I have the good fortune to have been born into a family that not only values these traits but cultivated and supported them in me.

Both sets of grandparents sent my brother and I on Outward Bound-esque programs each summer starting at the early age of 11.  Through these adventures, I developed a passion for the outdoors, pushing myself, all the while curbing and honing my sometimes "overzealous" leadership skills.

It is for all these reasons that I am so happy to have found myself working for an organization that provides these programs to kids and adults like me and whose core belief is that income level should not dictate access to outdoor leadership  and educational opportunities.

I'm trying to raise enough to send one well deserving youth on a course this summer through our Pinnacle Scholarship Program or alternately support 16 course days for one of our urban partners.

This email is going to end up in the hands of a lot of people who I'm sure have a story like mine, you have had success and adventure in your life and can probably pinpoint the catalyst that set you on this path.  I hear stories every day of the transformation students feel after their Outward Bound experiences and am excited to be a part of that change!

Please give whatever you can, no pressure, to help me reach my goal.
