Ozzy Osbourne is the most influential and legendary icon of our time. He's contribution to the music industry has helped pave the way for the many successful bands that we have today, such as Metallica, Megadeth and many others.
He's influenced a vast amount of tribute bands from all over the world, who look up to him and are inspired by him. He's the most recognisable music legend and is well loved by many from all walks of life.
His fan base consists of different age groups that span from the very early beginnings with Black Sabbath, right through to his very successful solo career. He's worked alongside very many talented musicians that compliment his signature voice, with guitarists such as the late and great Randy Rhoads, Bernie Torme, Brad Gillis, Jake E Lee, Zakk Wylde, Gus G, bass players like Rudy Sarzo, Bob Daisley, Robert Trujillo, Phil Soussan, Rob Blasko as well as drummers Tommy Aldridge, Carmine Appice, Lee Kerslake, the late Randy Castillo, keyboard players Don Airey, Adam Wakeman and very many other great musicians.
Age is no barrier for Ozzy who is turning 65 in December, 2013. He is still doing what he does best, and that is to entertain us the very best he can. Now with Black Sabbath once more, they've released a hugely successful new album called "13" (which has gone to number 1 in over 50 countries, including the U.K and U.S), to coincide with their world Wide tour. People have 'gathered in their masses' to see him grace the stage alongside Geezer Butler, Tony Iommi, and Tommy Clufetos. Ozzy always gives his all.
I believe it's high time Ozzy Osbourne received a Knighthood after over 40 years of service in music and for working tirelessly to give us music we will always appreciate and admire for many years to come.
