It's bad enough that President Bush signed an agreement for U.S. taxpayers to give Israel $30 billion in weapons from 2009 to 2018.

To make matters worse, last month in Jerusalem, President Obama pledged to extend U.S. taxpayer-subsidized weapons to Israel even longer. One report suggested that Obama wants to give Israel as much as $40 billion in taxpayer-financed weapons through 2028. [1]

This is outrageous, especially as the budget sequestration means that patients on Medicare are getting denied cancer-treatment drugs. [2]How can it be possible that we would have money to afford to arm Israel to oppress Palestinians, yet not have money to help seniors fight cancer?

Please take a minute today--Tax Day--to sign our petition to President Obama calling on him not to negotiate for more taxpayer-funded weapons for Israel.
