This summer, the U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service proposed slashing Endangered Species Act protections from gray wolves across the United States. This broad, unscientific proposal would jeopardize still-recovering wolves by allowing states to hunt, trap, even gas wolves in their dens.

As part of our efforts to oppose this plan, we're organizing a National Day of Action on August 14th and will bring the message to the White House steps that wolves need protections. We've organized events around the country and hope to make the Washington, D.C. action uniquely visible to the press--and to President Obama and Secretary Jewell!

Please support our work around the National Day of Action by helping us purchase a wolf costume(!) and masks and materials for all in attendance. Visit for more information about our work to protect wolves and other imperiled species.
