Please sponsor me in the TD Five Boro Bike New York Ride, a 42-mile bicycle ride through the five boroughs of New York City. This year my training and participation in the Ride is again with the Tzu Chi Foundation and dedicated to bringing awareness for the environment (by promoting bicycle transportation, green awareness and efforts), health (exercise for good health!), and compassion (Da Ai, or great love) for all living beings, a timely theme in light of recent man-made and environmental disasters. Tzu Chi Foundation is a Buddhist Relief organization, a 501(c) charitable organization, founded by a Budhhist nun, Dharma Master Cheng Yen, in 1966. The foundation was recently  recognized by U.S. as a Champions for Change in its efforts for relief in Hurricane Sandy. Tzu Chi's efforts are international for many disaster relief, educational and health initiatives, and medical relief missions. All donated funds are for direct relief and missions. Your donation is tax deductible in the United States. {Tzu Chi Foundation's Tax ID # is 94-2952782.}  I have volunteered at local free health fairs, volunteered with Tzu Chi International Medical Association's relief in Haiti earthquake, and continue the tradition of self-reflection, compassionate actions and thoughts. The Five Boro Ride has completed but our mission continues. I have witnessed the benefits of compassion brought about through selfless dedication. Please consider supporting this effort and visiting: www.us.tzuchi.org to learn more.
