I'm. A proud Borinqueneer, I served in Korea from Late 1950 to Nov 1951. I Was wounded in the Chorwon Valley in Nov 51 and evacuanted to Japan for hospitalization in the Nagoya Air Force Hospital. I served in the military for 21 years. I wrote a book in spanish with the title: Corea y Vietnam, Dos guerras que quise olvidar: You can purchase this book from: I'm 82.5 years old, and proud to have served with the 65th in Korea and in Puerto Rico. 64 years later, Justicie Was served. Thanks to the CGMA. For it's wonderfull Job in getting this Medal aproved.

Men of the 65th IR from Puerto Rico served and died with honor on the battlefield in service of freedom and the American way of life during WWI WWII and Korea. They earned the respect of the nation and entire world by shedding their blood in combat with valor and fidelity. They fought against insurmountable odds and accomplished feats no other units accomplished given their circumstances. They are Heroes whether dead or alive!
