A young Jamaican, Javed Jaghai has petitioned the supreme court of Jamaica to amend its "offence against the person Act" (buggery law) which currently outlaws male homosexual behavior in Jamaica. Gays in Jamaica are subject to violence and discrimination as well as the possibility of being arrested and thrown in jail if they are found to be engaging in same-sex sexual activities. Amending the buggery law would make it legal for gay consenting males to do as they please in the privacy of their own home. We support this landmark appeal as we believe everyone should have equal rights, regardless of their sexual orientation and we now invite you to show your support for Javed Jaghai as he faces the supreme court in October 2013
