Orca Network - Connecting whales and people in the Pacific Northwest.
Orca Network is a 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization dedicated to raising awareness of the whales of the Pacific Northwest, and the importance of providing them healthy and safe habitats. Programs include our popular Whale Sighting Network, the Central Puget Sound Marine Mammal Stranding Network, and our campaign and efforts to educate about the harm caused by the orca captivity industry, and to retire "Lolita", an L pod orca captured off Whidbey Island, WA, from the Miami Seaquarium and bring her back to her home waters and extended family, the endangered Southern Resident Orcas (1/3 to 1/2 of their members were captured for marine parks in the 60s and 70s).
