Ghar Sita Mutu – House with Heart is a home for abandoned children, a skills training center for destitute women, and a community outreach program for the needy families in Kathmandu, Nepal.
Ghar Sita Mutu was founded by Beverly Bronson who was working as a volunteer social worker when she found two abandoned brothers--Babu & Krishna aged 2 and 5--huddled outside a tin hut. Beverly could not leave the boys, became their guardian, and with the generosity of friends, opened the doors of Ghar Sita Mutu in 2001 to provide a loving home for them and up to 23 other children who would otherwise be uncared for.
Nepal is one of the poorest countries in the world resulting in extreme poverty and political instability. Ghar Sita Mutu provides hope for a better future and a chance to live with dignity.
