Stop the silent thief of sight
Glaucoma leads to blindness by damaging the optic nerve. Elevated pressure in the eye is a risk factor, but even people with normal pressure can lose vision to glaucoma.
While there is no cure as yet for glaucoma, early diagnosis and continuing treatment can preserve eyesight.
The Glaucoma Research Foundation seeks out new approaches to glaucoma research and follows the funding through to results. Its continuing commitment has led to important and promising insights.
Your donation will help fund new projects and ongoing investigations. Every day of research, each new insight shared, brings us closer to the cure for a leading cause of blindness.
1. Glaucoma is a leading cause of blindness
2. There is no cure for glaucoma—yet
3. Everyone is at risk
4. There may be no symptoms
