Murray, Utah is a beautiful place, but it would be more beautiful if the parking strips that are along main, feeder, and arterial roads in residential neighborhoods were better maintained. One reason for their current state of disrepair is that it is the responsibility of homeowners of double-frontage lots to irrigate and maintain the parking strips themselves. In many cases, the homeowner does not have access from his yard to the back parking strip. As a result, many parking strips of this type are neglected. Allowing homeowners to pave or cobble these parking strips would provide them a permanent solution to this maintenance and beautification dilemma.
