Let's petition the world's one hundred richest people to donate one fourth of their 2012 earnings to end global poverty. Their collective income is $240 billion last year alone, which is enough to end extreme global poverty four times over. Let's even the playing field. Obviously these 100 wealth holders are not spending their money in ways the benefit the global community directly or equally. There is no apparent need other than greed for so few to hoard so much wealth while a staggering majority suffer from want and lack the basic ingredients to a happy, healthy life.
