There is estimated to be just

3200 tigers left in the wild. Poachers and habitat loss are wiping out our beautiful tigers from the face of the earth. My goal is to raise awareness about how critical the survival of the tigers is and how their survival will impact the ecosystem. The campaign is important because the tigers play a massive role in the ecosystem and this role is under threat by poachers.

Without the tigers all the smaller rodents and pests that make up the tigers diet, will breed out of control. With these animals becoming over populated could cause other problems such as causing they’re diet to disappear and even cause more extinctions in the years to come. Other threats the tigers face is habitat loss. The Poachers hunt the tigers for their fur, teeth bones and even meat. The poachers make major profit of the tiger’s expense.  Habitat loss is probably the greatest threat to the variety of life on this planet today. It is identified as a main threat to 85% of all species declared endangered.

The first reason we need change is the threat to the ecosystem if tigers become extinct. Secondly we need change because there is too much demand for tiger products which produces a black market for tigers. Therefore poaching is becoming a massive issue because tiger parts are very expensive and the profit is so large.

Award winning science writer Sarah Zielinski believes that the effects on the ecosystem, due to the loss of tigers could be catastrophic. Processes that result in a loss of an apex predator could be dangerous. And many of these processes are big enough that even people in industrialized nations cannot protect themselves. The changes in vegetation that occur when the herbivore population is allowed to rise unchecked can change the frequency and intensity of wildfires. Without the tigers all the smaller rodents and pests that make up the tigers diet, will breed out of control. With these animals becoming over populated could cause other problems such as causing their diet to disappear and even cause more extinctions in the years to come.

We also need change because poachers are killing 2 tigers every single week. These poachers need to be stopped, they’re wiping out the tigers for materialistic items and money. If we don’t stand up for our tigers soon they will be forced into extinction. Tigers are in trouble. After being trapped and terrified in a poacher’s snare, they are cruelly slaughtered for their skins, claws and bones. Rangers work around the clock to protect these beautiful big cats, but their hard work needs to be supported by jail time and fines that will make poachers think twice before setting their snares

In order to change the gruesome fate of our tigers we need to enforce stricter laws and ban tigers from being used for medicines. The tigers are a beautiful creature that needs to be kept on earth. If they become extinct the backlash is massive with the tiger’s eliminated from the ecosystem their prey will multiply with no natural predators and grow out of control. The tigers are an amazing apex predator that need to be saved because these venerable animals don’t stand a chance against the poacher’s snares, guns and other weapons. The time to act is now before we lose them for good.
