Over 100 million animals are burned, crippled, poisoned, and abused in U.S labs every year and 90% of animals used in U.S labs are not even counted in the official statistics of animals tested.

If we could all join together in this campaign to help stop animal testing around the world, the earth could be a better place. It is important that we stop the use of experimental testing for our future generations and the well being of animals.

Animals are used to develop medical treatments, determine the toxicity of medications, check the safety of products meant for human use, and other medical, commercial, and health care uses. Research on living animals has been going on since at least 500 BC.

Animal testing has been practiced for thousands of years and is simply unethical. This is a new age and it is time for a change! There are many better ways to test products for human use. It’s unethical to place 100 million breathing, feeling animals in a laboratory cage and purposely cause them pain, loneliness and fear. Imagine spending your entire life as a hospital patient or prisoner… this will only begin to approximate the life of an animal in a laboratory. Testing is beyond unethical, it isn’t what any animal would want to go through at all; it is just bad science.

“Science is a systematic enterprise that builds and organizes knowledge in the form of testable explanations and predictions about the universe.” – Wikipedia. If science is about discovering explanations, predictions and new methods, why aren’t scientist using better approaches to test products that we use on ourselves and not on animals? Testing is bad science whether we believe it or not. The Food and Drug Organization reports that 92 out of every 100 drugs that pass animal tests fail in humans. This means the lives of these animals are being wasted for nothing. Animal testing is bad science. In addition, there are plenty more ways to test new drugs, foods and makeup.

Forward-thinking scientists have developed humane, modern, and effective non-animal research methods, including human based micro-dosing, in Vitro technology, human-patient simulators, and sophisticated computer modelling that are cheaper, faster, and more accurate than animal tests. In my opinion, I believe Vitro technology and sophisticated computer modelling work best for animal testing alternatives. Why? Because Vitro technology is simply a micro-chip in planted into an animal and kept an eye on from a monitor while the animal lives its everyday life. Sophisticated computer modelling is probably the best alternative scientist have come up with. It involves a computerized model figure of the human body then 3-D printed with all organs in place for the real life affect. These are both very good substitutes than animals having to risk their lives for bad science.

Albert Einstein was said “Our task must be to free ourselves from this prison by widening our circle of compassion to embrace all living creatures and the whole of nature in its beauty.” As a global community we need to act to show more compassion to these animals who suffer and feel just as much as we do. Animal testing is wrong. Please support my campaign by taking my pledge signing my petition. If we could all join together in this campaign to help stop animal testing around the world, the earth could be a better place.
