Will you please just let this wall lie go? It’s been breached by a 100$ tool from Home Depot, climbed in seconds by elementary school students, and flown over by planes EVERY SINGLE DAY. It was a dumb idea to spin up xenophobia in fearful insecure people. Anyone who looked past the rhetoric at reality could see it was a waste. Can you work on immigration reform based in modern realities? Please?

The President should not have the authority to move money already allocated by Congress without their approval

The Trump administration was within its rights to move military funds around to fund the border wall, and Congress should respect the authority it gave the executive branch to set national security priorities. While it’s important to spend on other military projects, the border wall is an urgent priority, so it’s justifiable to pull funds from other military spending to fund its construction.

Presidents have had the power to do this for several decades. Why is it that all of a sudden congress wants to handicap this president. It seems to me that congress is nothing more than a bunch of scum sucking swamp dwellers intent on ruining the country despite our legal and legitimate efforts.
It should come as no surprise that the scum sucker on point for this particular BS legislation is non other that an oath breaker with a cumulative Constitutional Fidelity Rating of 12%!

trump abused the powers implicit to the President by declaring the wall to be a ‘National Emergency’, even publicly commenting on his way to a Mar-a-loCo golf outing that he declared a ‘National Emergency’ because neither the House nor the Senate would agree to appropriate the funds he desired. It was one of the many, many offenses that should go on the impeachment list - since he unilaterally and without due cause, re-appropriated Congressionally appropriated funding- thus usurping a uniquely Congressional authority. His Republican enablers chose to ignore this and the ‘more-to-come’ abuses by successively ceding more and more of their legal authority. There should be no need for new legislation. ... ... Just impeach and remove the SOB! Republican’s and the controlling RNC- have some balls to right what is wrong, take back control of Congressional authority, fix the problems you have enabled. If you keep giving him rope, he will hang more than just himself. If he gets a second term and no longer needs you or his base, the rope that you’ve given him will be used to hang us all.
If the military budget is bloated, we need to give them less $$. Trump should not be able to divert funds from the military for his fake emergency and vanity wall. This wall will not work. It has already been climbed by children and professional climbers. And it was also recently sawed through. It is a total waste of money and we all know it. When every republican finds themselves voted out you will know why. The executive branch of government has been given too much power and we the people want it taken away!!

Then again if he puts workers out of work again with no pay or forces workers in critical jobs to work for no pay for 45 days like before, even though they eventually got back pay, the economy will tank again and narrow his already narrow chances for re-election and I'm all for that
Yes, Congress needs to redirect funds away from the ineffective border wall that tRump siphoned away from the military budget, declaring a national emergency. The term “National Emergency” needs to be narrowly & clearly defined so that this executive over-reach does not happen again. Republicans, I’m sure you agree? Imagine declaring a National Emergency for healthcare, homelessness, the opioid crises, student debt, crumbling infrastructure...I could go on, but you get it (once we try to help Americans with real problems), right?

Congress is in charge of appropriations. Trump and his administration have yet to learn that. For Trump to unilaterally reassign monies to projects he prefers to see funded is a violation of his oath of office and of the Constitution, not that he and the Republicans care about any of that. The wall is a massive waste of time, money, and energy. What good is it when you can climb over it in minutes and cut holes in it with a reciprocating saw bought at your local hardware store?
Constitution says congress has "the power of the purse". Trump is continually trying to bypass them. Unfortunately, the expensive wall can be cut with a $100 dollar recip saw so is a large waste of money. We don't need a dictator in the United States. We need a President who will fulfill his obligation to protect the constitution and serve the citizens.
